What’s says vacation better than a leisurely brunch at a super delicious spot? Pretty much nothing. And here in Rocky Point, there are several spots where you can get your fill of breakfast and brunch favorites. Take a look at five of our favorites!

Los Magueyales

This is a traditional restaurant which serves breakfast favorites and specialties such as shrimp, chicken, and steak fajitas, as well as other traditional Mexican dishes; the chorizo con huevos is definitely a brunch favorite! You’ll also find burgers and sandwiches on the menu next to more favorites such as burritos and chimichangas—there’s even a kids’ menu and tasty dessert selection.

Hours: Open seven days a week, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Rosy’s

This family-run restaurant has been in the area for years serving up delicious dishes, including both American and Mexican favorites. Try the chilaquiles or the different egg dishes such as the Motulenos or Oazaquenos eggs. There are omelets, pancakes, French toast, and other standard breakfast and brunch fare. And you can enjoy all these flavors with a Bloody Mary, wine, beer or even a Margarita!

Hours: Seven days a week, 7 a.m. until about 8 p.m.

Max’s Restaurant and Bar

One of the standouts of Max’s is the establishment’s famous Bloody Mary—a great way to start your brunch! Or start out with one of the coffee creations, including white mocha, mocha freeze, or a latte. Max’s offers traditional American and Mexican breakfasts, including everything from a selection of eggs done your way to breakfast burritos and Mexican scrambles.

Hours: Breakfast/brunch served 8 to 1:30, lunch 11:30 to 5 p.m. and dinner from 5 to 10 p.m.

Colin’s Cantina

Colin’s Cantina is a newer establishment and is the perfect place to enjoy breakfast or brunch and spend some time just relaxing. You can enjoy shrimp tacos, nachos, and even Hatch chile chicken burgers. Try the Gringo Bacon Blueberry Pancakes or the Bagel Sandwich for some tasty brunch delights. Of course, Colin’s has a full cocktail and beer menu to wash down those tasty morsels.

Giuseppi’s
