When building the golf course, the natural lay of the land was taken into careful consideration and very little dirt was moved in the process. This means the bends and turns of the course were created by Mother Nature, with little interference from man.
The 7,210 yards of the course allow players to take in plenty of the gorgeous ocean views. One side of the course is flanked by tidal estuaries, and the other side is surrounded by the Sea of Cortes. This positioning of the golf course within the layout of the land creates some interesting challenge to players. A pleasant ocean breeze can quickly turn into formidable gust that disrupts an otherwise easy shot. The sloping fairways are also situated to force you into making a demanding shot with no view of the green. Sand dunes throughout the layout add to the strategic play.
