The palm trees swaying in the wind give a gentle hello to all who arrive and as you step out of the rental car for the very first time, the hint of blue waters just beyond will make you fall in love at first sight. The tall, stuccoed structure standing before you could be intimidating if not for the softening effect of those palm trees, the crystal clear blue sky, and the cheerful warmth that reflects off the sun that always seems to be shining here. Step inside the oversized wood front door and let the growing delight take over as you explore the treasures revealed in a home that combines the old-world charm of Mexico with the new-world conveniences travelers need. Saltillo tiles lead the way through the open concept floor plan, stopping first in a living room filled with light and color. Plush seating reflects the cerulean blue of the sky while a state-of-the-art television competes for your attention with the views of the sea visible through the floor-to-ceiling windows that surround the room. Overhead a coffered ceiling created from tumbled bricks helps give the large open space a more intimate feeling and just below a small stained glass window depicts an underwater view of colorful fish swimming in the blue. On the opposite side of the space lies the dining room, bordered by that fabulous wall of windows, and anchored by the kitchen that centers the public areas. Offering seating for all 8 of the occupants, this is where board games will be played on the rare rainy days (remember, the sun is always shining down on Casa del Sol!) dinners will be devoured, and family memories will be created. The kitchen, another blend of traditional and modern, is designed to stand out in a world where fitting in has been the norm. Featuring colorful Mexican tiles, an arched entry, and updated appliances, you may not use it for more than blending margaritas and keeping your beverages cold but it is nice to have the option to cook if you wish!
Those Views
Casa del Sol is built to take advantage of its proximity to the sea and because it is only 300 feet away from the beach, the sea will play a huge part in your vacation activities. Many of the rooms offer amazing views, but your favorite views will come from the multiple balconies that line the back of the home. Sit out here and watch the sunrise with a cup of coffee (or mimosa; you are on vacation, after all!) and raise a toast to some of the most glorious sunsets you will ever encounter. A barbecue grill will give your fresh caught fish the smoky flavor that just can’t be imitated with the drops from a bottle of liquid smoke and the rattan chairs that are lined up under the shade of covered balconies give guests the perfect spot to enjoy the catch of the day as they drink in those views.
The Luxury of Sleep in This Rocky Point Rental
Sleep is the first thing we sacrifice as adults entering the real world and it is the biggest luxury we at FMI Rentals can offer our guests who choose Casa del Sol. Each bedroom is a peaceful escape, anchored by a king bed in the master suite and spacious and comfortable queen beds in the remaining rooms. Private access to the patios is offered in 2 of the 3 bedrooms and the third bedroom features impressive views that can be hidden behind blinds on those mornings you want to sleep in a little later than normal. Televisions mounted to the walls of the bedroom offer a gentle way to fall asleep, adding a touch of normalcy to your unique vacation experience. The 3.5 baths are colorful spaces, designed with the same Mexican tiles seen in the kitchen and because there are so many, morning traffic jams will be limited.
