Life is too short to take seriously all the time, and even though there are serious matters that always must be attended to, sometimes you just have to stop, take a step back, and involve yourself in something so undeniably whacky that you can’t help but laugh at yourself for being a participant. The Bathtub Race is a great event in Rocky Point to start! It’s difficult not to laugh when you are rowing your way down Rocky Point in a glittery bathtub; but as funny as this picture may seem, we take our races seriously, so get out of our way!
What self-respecting bathtub race wouldn’t offer drinks and refreshments to help increase the enjoyment levels? We wouldn’t know, because the food and drinks served here are the final piece to the puzzle. The races are hosted by the perennial local favorite, JJ’s Cantina, so you know there’s going to be some tasty food and refreshing drinks! The bathtub races are held every March, so if you haven’t thought about where you’d like to spend Spring Break next March, it’s time to start planning.
