Rocky Point Rally
Motorcycle owners know that there is nothing more exciting than taking your bike on the road. One of the best ways to enjoy your vacation getaway on your bike is by attending a bike rally. These events are gatherings of motorcycle owners as they descend upon a town and spend a few days around other bike enthusiasts. You may have seen rallies all around the country as you drive through. Rocky Point hosts the best motorcycle rally found just south of the Mexico border at the Rocky Point Rally. This exciting event is four days of everything bike related and so much more. Rocky Point Rally takes place November 10th through the 14th for a long weekend of fun. Spend some time with fellow motorcycle owners as you relax next to the Sea of Cortez and enjoy delicious food, live music, and other fun activities. There are different activities for every day of the event. The first day on November 10th has participants registering their bikes, enjoying charity poker fun, and a boat cruise. November 11th continues the fun with another charity poker run, a pinnacle desert ride, boat cruises, and a huge beach party and fiesta. November 12th has the annual bike parade where everyone takes to the street to show off their motorcycles. Additional activities also include the bike wash, fiesta, and boat cruise. The Rocky Point Rally will come to a close for the year on November 13th with the Fiesta in Old Port. This event is always one of the city’s biggest celebrations and is exciting for bike owners and bike-less visitors to enjoy! Proceeds go to a variety of charities in the city including the fire department, Red Cross, La Montana School, and several more.
Events in Rocky Point at Circus Mexicus
There is nothing more exciting than joining a thrilling live music festival whenever you travel. Rocky Point has our very own music festival with Circus Mexicus put on by Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers. This four-day music event features a lineup that changes every year that plays on one of several different stages. The musical performances will be held around the city at locations such as Banditos, Moo, and La Arena. The venues are all within walking distance from Sandy Beach and have a variety of bars and restaurants around to get plenty of food and drink before and after the performances. Last year’s lineup included Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers along with other musicians such as Jesse Dayton, The Black Moods, and BJ Barham among others. Circus Mexicus is currently scheduled to take place June 8-11 2023. Next year’s lineup will be made available later in the spring season with passes available for purchase then too.
January Jam
If you do not want to wait until Circus Mexicus to have a music-filled weekend here in Rocky Point you are in luck. Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers will be hosting January Jam over Martin Luther King Jr weekend this upcoming January. Rock band January Jam will also be on hand for a fitting performance to go with the mini festival’s name. January Jam will be a shorter festival taking place from January 13th through the 15th. The lineup will also be announced at a later date with passes available to purchase then too. Live music is a necessity here in Rocky Point so make sure you come to join in on the fun!
Weekly Performances at Wrecked at the Reef
During your stay in Rocky Point, you will find that Wrecked at the Reef, one of the local night venues and bars here in the city is a host of incredible live music. Each week, Wrecked at the Reef will host a variety of live musicians to take the stage. Enjoy your meal or drinks with live music playing in the background or go stand up close to the stage. Upcoming musicians that will be playing at Wrecked at the Reef in the upcoming months include Last Train to Juarez.
