Here’s a little tidbit about your upcoming Mexico getaway that you may not have realized before now. We love color, the brighter and more vibrant the better, and as you step inside Villa de la Reyna for the first time, your smile will be just a littler brighter because of it! An open concept floor plan reveals beauty and comfort, starting with the living room area. Traditional Saltillo tiles create a path that leads the way to a comfortable leather sofa set, its deep wine color being the first of the rainbow of colors you can expect.
The soul of our country is reflected in the artwork on the walls, and as you take a nap on a Tuesday morning or watch a little television on a Thursday night, you will feel the beauty of the spaces burrow a path into your own soul. The dining room area, tucked away in the corner in front of sliding glass doors, is made of wood, topped with cushions in a variety of rainbow colors. This is where you will play games, devour meals, or lose yourself in the beauty just beyond the glass!
The fully equipped kitchen, however, is where you first get the hint that color rules, offering a tile backsplash in EVERY Color, and a matching trim to the white tile countertops. Updated appliances, including an impressive gas range in stainless steel, help this space blend a homey cheer with the modern necessities of life and will encourage guests to prepare at least one meal during their stay! Whether you are watching the sun set over the Sea of Cortez, grilling up the catch of the day on the provided barbecue, or building sand castles with your favorite tiny travelers at shore’s edge, the crashing of the waves, the way the sea touches the sky at the horizon, and the overall sense of peace and serenity experienced out here will help make the memories you never want to forget!
The Nightlife
Manny’s Beach Club, Wrecked at the Reef, even Elixir Bar & Grill are popular night spots in Rocky Point, but it is the nights spent cocooned in soft beds that we are discussing right now! Each of Villa de la Reyna’s 3 bedrooms offer whimsical themes, expressed in the headboards of the beds and in the linens that top each king or queen bed as well! The Seashell Bedroom features a King Bed, ensuite bath, and views of the sea you will never tire of, in addition to the seashell relief that takes up much of the wall behind the bed. The second bedroom, the Calla Lily Room, offers, yep, you guessed it, a queen bed with a Calla Lily Relief built into the wall behind the bed, along with floral bedding. And bedroom number 3 provides another queen bed with Palm Trees on the wall; the Palm Tree Room will never fail to delight! Each of the two baths are designed with colorful Mexican tile, that offers cheer and light, even in the middle of the night!
