The Point Restaurant is open from 9:00am to 10:00pm, serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner daily in generous portions against the backdrop of the Gulf of California’s shimmering waters. Located directly on the water, you’ll have no better view while dining in all of Rocky Point. Cheerful music is played at the entrance of the restaurant, but doesn’t interfere with the laid-back atmosphere of the rest of the restaurant.
The restaurant is famous for its tortilla soup and Chef’s Special: a decadent flounder filet served with shrimp. Chile relleno with gooey cheese and shrimp wrapped in bacon present flavorful small bite options. Hearty burritos go hand-in-hand with thirst-quenching margaritas. The restaurant’s namesake dish, The Point, includes flounder stuffed with shrimp and scallops, then drizzled in a white sauce with capers. Shrimp fajitas pair excellently with ice cold beer and a breathtaking sunset. Finally, you can finish off your meal with a rich dessert: fried ice cream, in portions large enough to feed four people.
The Point Restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Puerto Penasco for planning lunch or dinner with drinks. Additionally, the restaurant even allows patrons to fish for their own meal from the deck, since the restaurant is positioned right over the water!
One note about The Point Restaurant: the prices are a little steep compared to other restaurants nearby, but you’re paying for the ambiance and quality of the restaurant.
