Important Duck Race Information

On June 12, the boat carrying the duckies will depart the port at around 8:30 or so. The Ducky Wranglers will be in kayaks and head out. The ducks will be dropped into the water around 9:30 in front of the Sonoran Spa. If you want to donate to this great organization and participate in the fun activity, the Duckies are $5 each or three for $10. You will also be entered into a raffle with your duck entry.

What The Annual Duck Race in Rocky Point Does

The Adopt-A-Classroom program helps make school supplies available to local schools for tens of thousands of students. Founders Mark and Barb Olszewski — 20-year residents of Rocky Point — have devoted their lives to provide charitable services to many in Puerto Penasco.

The Adopt-A-Classroom program is the longest running endeavor among the many charitable organizations supported by the Olszewskis. The program sponsors children and families who may not be able to afford basic school expenses such as uniforms, books, and tests.

Barb Olszewski says that the schools count on the program to help stock schools with essentials such as pencils, notebooks, and erasers, along with other supplies such as rulers and art supplies. She says that the supplies are very cheap in the States and are very easy to bring to Rocky Point and surrounding areas. She says that they are happy to pick up donations that people may bring with them.
